Lou Farandoulaire Trufareù is an homage to the Galoubet-Tambourin folk instrument from Provence. Throughout the piece, "La Farandoulo dei Tarascaire" - a popular folk melody traditionally played on Galoubet-Tambourin - keeps reappearing, playfully transformed at each occurrence as a light-hearted nod to the instrument's tradition.
Premiered at the Royal Academy of Music on 22/10/2024 by Anna Williams and Nathan Gatenby.
